Passport Photo Print Layout Maker

Arrange an existing portrait into a sized print sheet in your browser. Pixemon provides measured photo boxes and multi-copy layouts; it does not check identity, certify compliance, or guarantee acceptance by a passport office. Start with the requirements for your specific application, not just your country.

Important: keep official photos unaltered

Do not use Pixemon's attire changer, beauty edits, or AI background replacement for passport, visa, or ID submissions. Changing clothing is a digital alteration, even when the result looks natural. Take a new photograph in suitable clothing and lighting instead.

Creative portrait tools are for profiles, resumes, and personal projects. Resizing or arranging copies does not make an unsuitable photograph acceptable. Some authorities also require a professional photographer, signatures, or information on the back of each print.

Choose a size only after checking the rules

Dimensions below were checked against the linked official guidance on October 1, 2026. Requirements can change and digital applications may request pixels, file size, or a photo code instead of a paper print.

ApplicationPrinted size (width × height)Important limitation and official source
United States passport2 × 2 inches (50.8 × 50.8 mm; commonly rounded to 51 mm)No digital alteration. Check head size, lighting and recent-photo rules at the US Department of State.
United Kingdom passport35 × 45 mmPrinted applications have different instructions from digital applications. Read GOV.UK printed-photo rules.
Canada passport (printed application)50 × 70 mmA commercial photographer and professional printing are required; photos must be unaltered. Pixemon is not a replacement for that service. See Canada's photo requirements.
China passport33 × 48 mmCheck the application channel and composition requirements with the Chinese Embassy photo specification.
India OCI2 × 2 inchesThis is an OCI specification, not a claim about every Indian passport or visa application. See the OCI photo specification (PDF).
Custom layouts40 × 60 mm and 20 × 25 mmGeneric dimensions only. The former UAE label was removed because a universal 40 × 60 mm requirement was not verified. Check your exact service at the UAE ICP.

How to prepare a print sheet

  1. Read your application instructions. Confirm whether a printed photograph is accepted, who must take it, and how recent it must be. Do not use a multi-copy print sheet as a digital application upload.
  2. Use a suitable original. Check sharpness, a neutral expression, unobstructed features, even lighting, and the required background before opening the editor. Retake the photograph if anything needs digital repair.
  3. Select the exact dimensions. Use the layout label, not the number of copies, to identify the photo size. Two inches equals 50.8 mm; the 2-inch presets use that physical measurement.
  4. Inspect the crop. The frame must retain the required space above the head and the correct chin-to-crown size. Pixemon does not measure these automatically or perform a biometric compliance check.
  5. Print and measure a test copy. Disable automatic cropping, borderless enlargement, and fit-to-page scaling. Verify the finished width and height with a ruler before ordering more copies.

When not to use a home-made print sheet

For a Canadian printed passport application, use a commercial photographer who follows the current Canadian instructions. For other applications, check whether the authority requires studio details, a digital photo code, particular paper, or an unedited original. A correct-sized box alone does not satisfy these requirements.

If your application needs a digital upload, follow its pixel dimensions, file format, and upload instructions separately. A 300 DPI print setting describes a printing relationship; it is not a universal online passport standard.

Common sizing mistakes

A 4 × 6 inch sheet measures 101.6 × 152.4 mm, not exactly 100 × 150 mm. A printer that silently fits one to the other can alter the size of every photo. Likewise, a layout named “35 × 45 mm” does not establish the head size or background rules for all countries using that outer frame.

Keep the original image separately. If an office rejects a photo, use the stated reason and current authority guidance to decide whether a new photograph is needed. Do not try to repair an official portrait with the attire or AI editing tools.

Read the photo size and official-source guide and our print resolution guide for more detail. Questions about Pixemon's layout controls can be sent through Contact; only the issuing authority can decide whether a submission is acceptable.
